Dear parent,

Thank you so much for joining us this summer at Foghorn! We are honored to have your child on board, and we hope to make their experience full of fun learning, socializing, and community building. Below is some important information about our time together this summer.

Location: Marina Beach. There will be a canopy tent set up at the beach where we will begin each day.

Time: 10:00AM - 2:00PM during the week of your registered camp, Monday-Friday.

Drop off and pick up:

Morning drop off: 9:45-10AM. Location: Marina beach at the far SW end of the parking lot.

Afternoon pick up: 2:00PM. Location: Marina beach at the far SW end of the parking lot.

Each morning, you will walk your child a Foghorn staff member and wait for the camper’s name to be checked off from our attendance sheet. At pick up, you will return to the same location at 2:00PM. Important note: a signature from an authorized pick up will be required for a child to leave camp at the end of the day. A camper will remain with their teacher at the end of the day until a signature is given from an authorized individual. Have your driver’s license or ID ready on Monday so that we can verify your name and ability to pick up your camper at the end of the day.

Communication during the camp day: Should you need to pick up your camper early or communicate with staff, please text (425) 616 - 9525 for a response within the hour. Should you need to pick up your camper early, please park at the Marina beach and find our group either in the canopy tent or at the shoreline.

Supplies to bring:

  • Coats: a light rain coat. After all, we do live in the Pacific Northwest.

  • A bottle of water.

  • A bagged lunch

  • All craft and writing supplies will be provided. However, if your camper has an artist’s notebook or a journal, please encourage them to bring it!

  • A small backpack. On Friday, your child’s backpack will be stuffed with all of the art they have created over the course of the week.

Cell phones and other similar electronic devices are not permitted during camp time, breaks, or lunch. If a camper needs to bring a cell phone, it must be turned off and tucked away safely in a backpack (including during breaks and lunch).

Performances & Presentations: Some camps have presentations or performances of student work on Friday. An email notice will be sent on the first day of camp informing you about any planned presentation.

Friday reports: On Friday, each parent will be given a detailed report about what their camper has done throughout the week, what friends they have made, and a stand-out moment that they’ve had during the week. You will also receive a link to write a review of our service. Thank you in advance for your helpful feedback!

And again, thank you so much for registering with us this summer. It is our honor to serve your family, and we aim to provide your child with a camp experience they can learn from, glean fond memories of, and have lots of fun with.

Please feel welcome to tell your friends and family about our open registrations!

Sincerely,

Henry Wetzel
