Our Mission

Foghorn seeks to inspire knowledge, wonder, and a sense of responsibility for the natural world to schools and communities across the Pacific Northwest.

    Henry Wetzel came in to do a lesson on waves, tides and currents to my third graders as well as the 4th and 5th graders combined and it was amazing! The students were engaged and had a lot of fun learning about the concept. A couple students went back home and mentioned how much they enjoyed the lesson to their parents! After seeing how motivated and enthusiastic the students were as well as how knowledgeable Henry was, we will not hesitate to book another session with him!

    My son had the best week ever at Foghorn Summer Camp! He said he wished camp would never end! He learned a lot and loved spending the week making new friends and playing outside at the beach. He is already talking about attending camp again next summer. We will definitely sign up again!

    Nora had a great week at beach camp. She’s four and this was her first solo camp experience (without her older sisters present). She came home excited each day and was ready to go back each morning! I felt Nora was in great care with Henry and the other camp counselors there. The beach is such a fun place and for her to be able to delve into beach creatures with knowledgeable teachers was an awesome experience for her. I would definitely recommend this camp to other littles, and look forward to Nora attending next summer!

    This has been such a fun and enriching camp that I will highly recommend to everyone with kiddos that love the water and sea so they can learn more about what they might find while out in nature. The level of safety and understanding my kiddo has displayed is simply outstanding. We look forward to the other sessions this season has to offer and can't wait to see what's taught next. If you are at all wondering if this camp is worth it, it 100% is!
